Weinbergpfirsich Peach Liqueur

Weinbergpfirsich Peach Liqueur

In the 19th century the Roter Weinbergpfirsisch (red vineyard peach) was commonplace in Mosel vineyards, where it was used to spread its fragrance among the grapes. Although very limited in cultivation today, this small peach with its blood-red fruit still produces incomparable nectar. Dr. Franz Friedrich blends the essence of the peach with his own Riesling Brandy to create this specialty of his region. There are no words to describe the heavenly scent of this fine liqueur.

Kirsch (cherry) Liqueur

Kirsch (cherry) Liqueur

After reviewing a range of fruit liqueurs offered by the Josef Friedrich winery, we found two to be our favorites. This one is the 'Kirschlikoer', made from Black Forest Cherries. Dark and richly textured with the wonderful flavor of these famous cherries.

Black Forest Coffee Cream Liqueur

Black Forest Coffee Cream Liqueur

The "Likoer" house of Wajos is located in the town of Ernst on the Moselle river. This delicious cream liqueur is made from high quality spirits, rum, caramel, Chocolate, and Mocha coffee. Only the highest quality cream from Holland has been used in this luscious blend. Locals in the mountains of Germany's Schwarzwald (Black Forest) often spend a winter's evening around the fireplace, sipping glasses of the region's rich cream, mixed with brandy, strong coffee, and chocolate.

Fransac-VSOP Liqueur de Cognac

 Fransac-VSOP Liqueur de Cognac

We have been trying to obtain this very fine Liqueur de Cognac of Fransac for the past five years. Using a base of fine V.S.O.P Cognac, Georges Roullet has created a wonderfully rich liqueur with the warm vanilla aromas of fine Cognac...with a difference. If you love the smell of Cognac, but can't handle the sharpness of a high alcohol spirit, then this is for you. Unique and delicious!

Villagiachi Grappa

Villagiachi Grappa

Grappa is the clear spirit produced from the artisan distillation of the marc (grape remnants after pressing) of Vernaccia di San Gimignano, immediately following separation from the juice by soft pressing. The Grappa obtained maintains all the primary aromas of the grapes which are generously passed on to the Brandy. This is a delicate white Grappa which can be served chilled with desserts or at the end of a long evening with a demi-tasse of espresso.

Pineau Des Charentes White

Pineau Des Charentes White

At some time toward the end of the 16th century, a worker in one of the cellars in the Cognac region of France made the mistake of putting some newly made wine into a barrel already containing a small amount of Cognac. The result of this error has come to be known as Pineau de Charentes and has been made ever since. The outstanding quality is the result of exceptional soil conditions, the classical low yield grape varieties of Semillion and Sauvignon, a lengthy aging in oak casks and, above all, the devotion to the tradition of excellence. Drink it cold today with a tempting dessert dish. The classic aperitif.

CHATEAU LABALLE - VINTAGE ARMAGNAC

 CHATEAU LABALLE - VINTAGE ARMAGNAC

Although the grape varieties for Armagnac are similar to Cognac, a 'continuous' still is used which results in a lower proof strength and a more rounded, flavorful spirit. Bas Armagnac is the best of the region. Most Armagnac is blended, although a very small amount of vintage-dated brandy can be found. The old vintages (such as this 1973) have been aged in barriques from the famous "black oak of Monlezun", which has become scarce. This is a wonderful brandy with mouth-filling flavors of fruity, toasted complexity and rich caramel / vanilla notes. (Subject to availability)
